Website Pricing

I realize clients sometimes have no idea how much a website will cost them. I understand that everyone has budgets and rather than shock you I want to be fair and honest when it comes to pricing website projects. It is hard to put an exact price on a website before the planning process. Cost will depend on the site itself, size and how creative and involved it will be. I can give some rough estimates of general price points that your website may fall into. Once I have the specifics from a client I am able to draw up a price quote for the site.  Please realize the below prices are just estimates to give you an idea of cost. Projects involve a written contract the client and designer will sign and a deposit of 50% of the cost of the site will be due upon signing and agreeing to the terms of the contract. The remaining 50% is due at website completion.

Simple Website
$500 - $800 - A simple website that would include 3-5 linked pages.  The client would provide logos, graphics and copy.  It would contain a pleasing layout and rollover navigation. This would be an informative very simple site.

Basic Website
$800-$1500 - A Basic site would contain 5 or so linked pages. It would offer a little more creativity than a simple site, but limited custom graphics and most, if not all the content and images would be supplied by the client. It would have a nice layout and navigation.

Standard Website
$1500- $2500 - This is the price range most websites will fall into. These sites will range from 5-10 linked pages and will get a bit more creative with custom graphics, photos and contain a little bit of flash. Navigation will offer unique buttons and rollover effects. It will contain an impressive layout , custom graphics and background images.

Dynamic Website
$2500 - $5000 - This site will focus on incredible design, photo or product galleries. It may contain a shopping cart  feature. It will be a larger site containing in upwards of 10 pages.  It will involve alot of creativity and contain more elements of flash. Anything larger than this type of project will require high end design, database and programming skills and could cost well over $5000.

Graphics & Logos Pricing
Once again the figures I will provide are just an estimate to give you an idea of  cost. Logos will require me to gather information  and samples from the client to create a personal price quote. Logos are a key part to any business. They are the image your company  conveys.  They too will vary in cost. On average depending how many design options you want, Logos will cost between $125 - $1000 sometimes higher. Remember a Logo will be with you a long time. You want something that will be memorable and professional.

Hosting & Domain Name Costs

Domain Name Registration
If you  do not already have a domain name registered (example: www.yourcompany.com) I will be happy to tell you where to do that.  Domain names are registered for a year and it will be the clients responsibility to renew the domain name every year in order to keep the website online. You should have several choices for domain names picked out because the one you want may already be taken.   Domain name costs vary in price but roughly cost $9.99 and up for a year.

Hosting
Hosting is a requirement to have your website online.  Hosting costs vary and can be paid monthly or yearly. Most people choose to pay yearly as it is easier and less to remember. This service will need to be renewed and paid yearly in order to keep your website up and running smoothly.  Hosting is a service I provide unless you prefer to have your site hosted elsewhere. The choice is yours. On average hosting costs are between $5-$12 a month and up depending on space needed, if you have an interactive site or need SSL certification.
